Synopsis

The Anime Lad

Kogarashi is a psychic whose encounters with spirits have left him in debt. He finds an unusually cheap room at Yuragi Inn, a hot-springs residence haunted by Yuuna and occupied by several women. Moving in solves the immediate housing problem. It also places him inside a household where ghosts and other supernatural residents complicate ordinary tenant relations.

Debt drives psychic Kogarashi to Yuragi Inn, where low rent comes bundled with a resident ghost and a resistant household. Yuuna cannot move on to the spirit world, and Kogarashi begins living alongside her and the inn's other residents. Supernatural comedy and ecchi slapstick share the crowded address.

The ecchi setup announces itself loudly, so viewers tired of accidental exposure will find little relief. Kogarashi's debt and psychic ability at least give the premise a practical spine. He needs affordable housing, understands spirits, and enters a household whose supernatural residents provide more than one source of conflict.
