Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Atsui, including atsui.app and the features, accounts, subscriptions, and services available through it. Atsui is operated by Maroup, a registered business based in California, United States.

By creating an account, accepting these Terms, or using a paid feature, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If mandatory consumer law in your country gives you rights that cannot be waived, these Terms do not limit those rights.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If the law where you live requires a higher age for you to consent to online services or data processing, that higher age applies. If you cannot agree on your own, a parent or legal guardian must authorize your use.

You may sign in with Google or with a verified email address and password. You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and promptly tell us at [email protected] if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.

Your launch account is private. Your reserved handle is not a public profile, and Atsui will not publish your watch activity through the launch account experience.

Atsui provides anime discovery, browsing, guides, personal tracking, ratings, recommendations, and related features. Browsing, discovery, search, and guides can be used without an account. Before accounts open, Atsui may save progress, ratings, lists, and imported activity to a random identifier in your browser. Once accounts open, saving new activity requires an account.

If you used Atsui anonymously before creating an account, Atsui automatically attaches compatible activity stored in the same browser to your account after you sign in. This keeps your existing tracker activity with you when the account is created.

Afterparty and other social features are not part of the launch service. Public profiles, public posting, comments, following, messaging, and public activity feeds remain unavailable until Atsui separately releases them and updates these Terms and the Privacy Policy where needed.

Anime information, availability, recommendations, and third-party links may change or contain errors. Atsui does not guarantee that a title is available in your country or through a particular streaming service.

Atsui+ is a digital subscription that provides the features described on the checkout page at the time you subscribe. Atsui will not open paid checkout until the advertised paid benefits are available. There is no free trial at launch.

The launch prices are $7.99 USD per month or $79 USD per year. Taxes may be added or included based on your location and the checkout presentation. Your checkout page shows the total amount before you pay.

Atsui+ purchases are sold through Link, which acts as the merchant of record. Link handles checkout, payment processing, applicable indirect tax collection and remittance, payment receipts, transaction support, and refund processing. Atsui remains responsible for the Atsui product and product support.

Your subscription renews automatically at the selected monthly or annual interval until you cancel. You authorize Link to charge your selected payment method for each renewal, including applicable taxes shown at checkout.

You can cancel through Atsui account settings or the subscription portal. Ordinary cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and your paid access continues until then. If a renewal payment fails, Atsui may keep paid access active for up to seven days while payment is retried. Access can end if payment remains unsuccessful.

If you request a refund within 14 days after your first successful Atsui+ payment, Atsui will approve and initiate a full refund request through Link. A completed refund ends your Atsui+ membership and paid access. Later renewals and partial periods are not refundable unless applicable law requires a refund or Link grants one under its policies.

Deleting your Atsui account is different from ordinary subscription cancellation. Account deletion immediately cancels your subscription and ends paid access so that the account can be removed. Delete your account only when you are ready to lose remaining paid access. Account deletion does not create an automatic refund beyond the policy above or rights required by law.

If Atsui changes a subscription price, we will provide advance notice and apply the change only to a future renewal as required by applicable law. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.

You may not misuse Atsui, interfere with its operation, bypass access controls, attempt unauthorized access, upload malware, use automated traffic that harms the service, scrape protected account data, impersonate another person, or use Atsui in a way that violates law or another person's rights.

You may not resell Atsui, reproduce protected portions of it, or use Atsui data to build a competing commercial database unless we give written permission or applicable law allows it.

Atsui may link to streaming services, retailers, Google, Link, Stripe, or other third parties. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Atsui is not responsible for third-party availability, content, pricing, or conduct.

Some outbound links may be referral links. Atsui may receive compensation if you complete a purchase through one of those links. Referral compensation does not change the price you pay unless the destination says otherwise.

Atsui and its original software, design, branding, and written material are owned by the operator or licensed to Atsui. Anime titles, artwork, trademarks, and related materials belong to their respective owners.

If you send feedback, you allow Atsui to use it to improve the service without payment or obligation to you. You keep ownership of any rights you already hold in your feedback.

Atsui is provided on an “as available” basis. We work to keep it reliable and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free data, or that every feature will always remain available.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Atsui disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Atsui's total liability for a claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Atsui during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or $100 USD. These limits do not apply where law prohibits them or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

You may stop using Atsui at any time and may delete your account through account settings. Atsui may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, address fraud or security threats, comply with law, or respond to a serious or repeated violation of these Terms.

When reasonably possible, Atsui will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Immediate action may be necessary for security, fraud, legal, or safety reasons.

Atsui may update these Terms as the service or law changes. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable advance notice. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may stop using Atsui and cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.

California law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections or legal remedies available where you live. Before filing a claim, you and Atsui agree to make a good-faith attempt to resolve it by contacting [email protected]. These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive any right to bring an eligible claim in small claims court.
