Anyone expecting serious research practice should lower the significance threshold immediately. The experiments are comedy props. Still, the premise understands a recognizable academic reflex. Himuro and Yukimura would rather operationalize love than risk an unmeasured answer, so their mutual attraction expands into lab meetings where everyone else can see the conclusion they keep testing around.
