Synopsis
Kirie lives in a small coastal town where her boyfriend Shuichi has become alarmed by spirals. The pattern appears throughout ordinary surroundings and attracts increasingly intense attention. Kirie watches familiar streets grow less trustworthy. Leaving town begins to sound like reasonable geometric policy.
In fogbound Kurozu-cho, Shuichi insists that spirals are consuming the town's attention. Kirie initially sees a familiar pattern in ordinary places. Repetition changes that comfort. The monochrome world fills with curves that draw eyes inward, turning natural shapes into warnings nobody can comfortably ignore.
