Synopsis

Seirin High recruits Taiga Kagami, a powerful scorer recently returned from America, and Tetsuya Kuroko, who seems unsuited to athletics and occasionally to visual detection. Kuroko was the unseen sixth member of a famous middle-school team. He cannot dominate alone. He can redirect a game toward someone who can, which makes Kagami professionally relevant.

Each opponent poses a specific tactical problem rather than serving as a generic obstacle with louder hair.

Teikou Junior High School's basketball team is crowned champion three years in a row thanks to five outstanding players who, with their breathtaking and unique skills, leave opponents in despair and fans in admiration. However, after graduating, these teammates, known as "The Generation of Miracles", go their separate ways and now consider each other as rivals.

What defines it

Kagami attacks the rim with explosive athleticism while Kuroko redirects attention and moves the ball from places opponents fail to notice. Neither approach is enough alone. Their partnership gives Seirin a way to challenge players whose overwhelming talents once made ordinary competition feel pointless.
