Edward and Alphonse Elric are gifted young alchemists living with the consequences of a forbidden experiment. Edward now works for the military while the brothers search for the Philosopher's Stone, hoping it can restore what they lost. Their science can reshape matter, provided the exchange is equal. The universe remains extremely attentive to accounting errors.
