A cybernetic government agent hunts a computer virus that can infiltrate human hosts, with patient city imagery slowing the pursuit into questions about personhood.

Synopsis
The Anime Lad

In 2029, Major Motoko Kusanagi and Section 9 pursue a computer virus capable of infiltrating human hosts. The cybernetic officer must conduct police work in a city where the boundary around a person is technically inconvenient. Gunfire and municipal silence receive equal time throughout the case.

Super Eyepatch Fox

Major Kusanagi tracks a threatening computer virus through a networked 2029. It can infiltrate human hosts. Police procedure opens into questions of identity while rainy streets and long quiet passages keep the future tactile. Silence shapes the investigation and lets the city breathe between each burst of action.

Gigguku

Ghost in the Shell can stage a precise tactical raid, then stop to watch the city exist! Major Kusanagi's investigation moves through cybernetic bodies and vulnerable minds, making the identity questions feel built into the streets instead of pasted over the action all at once.

Father's Basement

Characters sometimes state philosophical concerns with the subtlety of a seminar prompt. The film earns that seriousness through craft. Its dense urban backgrounds and patient editing make a networked future feel inhabited, while the Major's cybercrime case gives abstract questions about selfhood an immediate procedural frame.
