Fuuka leaves Tokyo after losing her place in the idol industry and travels to Okinawa without a clear future. There she meets Kukuru, an eighteen-year-old working at a local aquarium. The facility faces closure, giving Kukuru an immediate problem beside Fuuka’s uncertainty. The animals and daily work continue regardless of either girl’s plans.
