Kimihiko has an inconvenient habit of being present when trouble occurs. On a hijacked flight, a silver-haired detective named Siesta recruits him as her assistant before he has time to file an objection. The extended premiere establishes a partnership built on deduction, danger, and aggressive conversational composure. School concerns remain technically available, though the show displays little interest in normal scheduling.

You know a show means business when its first meeting happens during a hijacking and the detective casually assigns the nearest disaster magnet a job. Siesta and Kimihiko bounce between deductions and dry challenges with ridiculous confidence. The oversized premiere feels like a compact movie, complete with airborne danger and a mystery that refuses to stay ordinary. It is extremely committed to making detective work look glamorous.

Father's Basement

The series front-loads ornate banter and expects the central pair's poise to carry some very pulpy logic. That can grate. Still, the long premiere understands spectacle: Kimihiko's bad luck places him on a hijacked plane, Siesta turns him into an assistant, and the case steadily leaves conventional crime behind. Watch for chemistry and theatrical mystery mechanics, not procedural realism.
