Dragons terrorize the earth, sea, and sky while hunters struggle against creatures considered nearly invincible. Ragna wants to change those odds. Crimson appears with the same declared goal and less transparent motivation. They form an alliance to fight dragons. Trust has not been included in the equipment list.

Dragons dominate every horizon. Hunters need a way to challenge enemies that appear untouchable. Ragna finds Crimson, a mysterious man who also wants the dragons gone. Their goals align. Their motives do not arrive with equal clarity. Together they begin a campaign against the world's strongest predators.

A vow to destroy seemingly invincible dragons is revenge fantasy at full volume. Crimson keeps it from becoming a completely clean heroic pitch. He shares Ragna's goal, but his reasons remain mysterious. Their alliance begins with strategic agreement instead of trust, which gives the campaign some tension beyond measuring how large the next dragon is.
