The 2015 fantasy follows novice adventurer Bell Cranel into Orario's vast Dungeon, where monsters and powerful deity-led Familias complicate his romantic idea of heroism.

Synopsis
The Anime Lad

Bell Cranel becomes an adventurer in Orario, where people enter the labyrinth beneath the city for fortune and glory. His grandfather supplied a more romantic objective involving rescued girls. Bell soon discovers that the women he meets are not waiting helplessly for him. Gods and their powerful Familias further complicate his modest plan. Orientation was apparently optional.

Super Eyepatch Fox

Orario sits above a sprawling Dungeon full of monsters and ambitious adventurers. Bell enters with little experience and a heroic fantasy about meeting girls. Reality reverses the arrangement when a swordswoman rescues him. Around them, gods lead powerful Familias that shape life in the city. Bell's imagined adventure meets a much larger system already in motion.

Gigguku

Bell enters the Dungeon with the sweetest, silliest picture of how heroism should work. Then an experienced swordswoman has to rescue him. That reversal gives Orario room to show its scale, from the monster-filled labyrinth to the gods and Familias surrounding it. Bell may be new, but his excitement makes the city feel huge instead of merely crowded!

Father's Basement

The romantic framing is juvenile, and the premise knows exactly which audience expectation it is selling. Orario works better than that pitch. Adventurers treat the Dungeon as a source of fame, fortune, and danger, while gods organize powerful Familias above it. Bell arrives with an inexperienced fantasy of rescue and immediately learns that competence is distributed elsewhere.
