Synopsis

The Anime Lad

Kazuki handles logistics for contract killings, while his reserved roommate Rei handles much of the shooting. During a Christmas assignment, four-year-old Miri enters their lives with no respect for operational boundaries. The two professionals unexpectedly end up sharing their home with her. Their apartment was designed for gaming and questionable work, not toys, meals, or a child demanding attention.

Kazuki plans criminal jobs. Rei executes them. Miri, age four, walks into a Christmas operation while searching for her father. Soon the assassins share their home with a child whose needs ignore deadlines and loaded weapons. Professionals at violence. Amateurs at breakfast. Nobody sleeps. Gigguku

Miri has the unstoppable energy of a four-year-old who has found two adults with absolutely no defense. Kazuki can coordinate a dangerous job, Rei can stay calm under fire, and neither is ready for preschool paperwork. That gap is hilarious, but the show also notices the daily work behind becoming a family. Every tiny domestic success feels as urgent as the action.

Father's Basement

The premise arrives carrying a large sign that says found family, and Miri's volume can test patience. Still, Buddy Daddies pays attention to childcare as labor. Kazuki and Rei cannot simply add a cute kid to their assassin apartment and continue unchanged. Meals, school enrollment, and conflicting temperaments create practical comedy, while their dangerous work keeps the arrangement from becoming pure domestic fluff.
