Synopsis

The Anime Lad

Eiji joins his school drama club while entertaining the modest ambition of becoming a manga-style harem lead. Rin, a younger actress with a crush on him, supplies the entire ensemble by slipping into different personalities around him. What follows is less romantic competition than an extended private bit between two theater kids who are increasingly bad at separating performance from feeling.

Super Eyepatch Fox

Eiji wants the attention of a fictional harem protagonist. Rin likes Eiji and has enough acting range to provide many personalities herself. Their drama-club friendship becomes a chain of improvised roles, teasing responses, and moments when the performance slips. The premise stays focused on two people, making each new persona another way to test the distance between them.

Rin keeps trying on different personalities around the drama-club boy she likes, all because he dreams of manga-style harem attention. It is SUCH a clean romantic engine. Every role gives her another way to flirt without stating the obvious, while every broken performance lets sincerity through.

Yet the gimmick avoids becoming a checklist because Rin is always acting for one particular person. Her switches create comic timing instead of multiplying love interests.
