Banaza is summoned to Klyrode as a hero candidate, graded on arrival, and rejected for unimpressive abilities. The kingdom cannot send him home, so he remains stranded. Reaching level two radically changes his abilities. The practical question becomes what kind of life he wants to build. His power is suddenly settled. Everything personal remains awkwardly unresolved.
