Ein was born with the Appraiser class, widely considered useful only for identifying things while stronger companions handle the important work. His treatment reflects this sensible and humane social order. Meeting Yuuri, a spirit of the World Tree, and Ursula, a powerful sage, opens a different possibility.

Ein receives the weakest class and the contempt that comes with it. Then he meets Yuuri, spirit of the World Tree, alongside the sage Ursula. Training begins. Appraisal becomes usable power, giving a discarded adventurer his first real chance to define his own worth.
