Synopsis
Jirou Azuma is a high school student descended from ninja, trained in shinobi arts, and able to speak with animals. He encounters an injured cat named Ragou and chooses to help. Ragou turns out to be the legendary Black Star of Doom. The Bureau of Espionage and several mononoke also have opinions about this rescue.
Jirou’s shinobi training and ability to understand animals become useful when he encounters Ragou, an injured cat with a fearsome supernatural identity. Mononoke want Ragou’s power, while the Bureau of Espionage enters the conflict. A simple act of protection becomes Jirou’s entrance into organized supernatural combat.
Jirou already has an incredible combination of skills. He knows shinobi techniques and can speak with animals. Then he finds Ragou, an injured cat whose true importance attracts both mononoke and a government bureau. The whole premise launches from Jirou refusing to leave a vulnerable creature behind, which gives the supernatural action an immediate emotional charge!
