Synopsis
The Mirror Capital is a Kyoto contained inside a painting, colorful and almost entirely unchanged. Its residents live comfortably with that stillness until Koto arrives while searching for clues about her missing mother. The city also holds rival siblings born to supernatural parents, including a goddess. Koto’s entrance makes their settled arrangement considerably less settled.
Enter the Mirror Capital, a painted Kyoto where life remains colorful and static. Koto is searching for the mother she has never met. Her arrival disrupts the city and draws her toward a family shaped by supernatural parents and intense sibling rivalry. A world accustomed to repetition suddenly has to account for movement.
The Mirror Capital is already bursting with color, yet its people live inside an unchanging routine. Then Koto arrives looking for her missing mother and brings the energy of a wrecking ball. Her search collides with a supernatural family whose own relationships keep the city emotionally charged. The fantasy feels huge because one girl’s need for connection keeps pushing against stillness.
