Synopsis

The Anime Lad

At school, Umaru is admired for her grades and immaculate manners. At home with her older brother Taihei, she becomes a tiny hooded creature devoted to games and junk food. Taihei handles the chores while observing the total collapse of public standards in a very small apartment.

Perfect student Umaru reaches her apartment and abandons the performance. Games take over. Snacks accumulate. Her patient brother Taihei manages the domestic fallout while the animation turns her private self into a compact orange mascot of unchecked appetite. Public excellence ends at the front door.

The switch at the doorway is an entire comedy engine! School Umaru glides through life, then home Umaru curls under a hamster cape and treats cola like emergency fuel.
