Four loud character labels do not automatically create comedy. NANBAKA at least chooses labels that push in different directions. Juugo's escape history, Uno's gambling, Rokku's appetite for fights, and Nico's anime fixation give the group several ways to undermine prison routine. The ensemble must carry the premise, since confinement supplies the shared target.
