Synopsis
Sajou earned perfect scores on his entrance exams but needs help preparing for a chorus festival. Kusakabe, a guitarist who performs with a band, offers to practice with him after school. Repeated rehearsals turn an unlikely conversation into growing affection. Academic achievement has not supplied a useful procedure for this development.
Honor student Sajou needs help preparing for a chorus performance. Guitarist Kusakabe stays after school to practice with him. Their different rhythms gradually meet through songs and conversation. The film follows their growing feelings while both begin considering what comes after high school.
One boy approaches music with careful effort. The other already lives through guitar and performance. Chorus practice gives Sajou and Kusakabe a reason to keep meeting after school, and every shared song brings their different personalities closer. There is very little narrative machinery here, so anyone expecting constant melodrama may find the film slight. That simplicity is also its discipline. Chorus practice gives Sajou and Kusakabe a believable reason to share time, while their different temperaments supply enough uncertainty without piling on artificial obstacles.
