Kei Nagai walks away from an accident no one should survive and discovers that makes him an Ajin, a rare immortal human. The authorities would like to discuss this in the controlled environment of a laboratory. Kei declines. What follows begins as a brisk urban manhunt where healing solves immediate injury, not the problem of being recognizable.
