Synopsis

The Anime Lad

Takashi Natsume can see yokai, which has made ordinary adolescence needlessly administrative. In his grandmother's hometown, he inherits her Book of Friends, a ledger holding names she took from spirits. He decides to return them. Each visitor brings a compact history, while a powerful yokai in a lucky-cat form serves as bodyguard, adviser, and recurring household problem.
