The Anime Lad

Years after Dragon Ball, Goku introduces his young son Gohan to old friends at Kame House. The reunion is interrupted by a powerful visitor whose arrival suggests Earth is part of a much larger martial world. Goku has acquired domestic responsibilities. The universe has declined to adjust its threat schedule accordingly.

Super Eyepatch Fox

Goku returns as a father, bringing young Gohan to meet the old crew. A fighter from space arrives with unsettling knowledge and power beyond familiar limits. Dragon Ball's playful martial world suddenly opens onto a vast cosmic scale without losing its familiar appetite for blunt challenges.

Gigguku

Seeing Goku arrive with a kid is strange enough. Then one visitor from space blows the doors off everything the original series treated as the limit. The power readings, the speed, the sheer confidence of that escalation, it is immediate. The franchise is notorious for stretched pacing, but this opening wastes little time redefining its scale.
