Synopsis

The Anime Lad

Middle school student Mirai accompanies her younger brother Yuuki to a robot exhibition on Odaiba. A magnitude 8.0 earthquake strikes while they are away from home, damaging Tokyo and cutting familiar routes. A motorcycle delivery woman named Mari meets them on the island and helps them begin traveling toward their family home in Setagaya.

Mirai and her younger brother Yuuki are visiting Odaiba when a powerful earthquake changes Tokyo around them. Home lies across the damaged city in Setagaya. They meet motorcycle courier Mari and begin the journey back together, facing a disaster through distance and disrupted geography rather than abstract scale.

Mari, a motorcycle courier they meet on Odaiba, offers help. The huge disaster becomes immediate through one simple need: get the children home.
