Season 3 Part 1 · The raid opens

Six years after Season 2 the heroes finally go underground and hit Monster Association headquarters. Fights break out on every floor at once and the cour splits its time between all of them. The reception was rough and you will hear about it, but this is the stretch that puts every piece where Part 2 needs it.

Season 3 Part 2 · The raid finishes

The second cour closes the Monster Association arc and delivers the matchup the teaser is built around. Same studio, a new director, new character designers, and a long runway to get it right.
What everyone's talking about
The premiere conversation, condensed. Paraphrased from public chatter.
“Everyone wanted the big fight handed to a different studio. It stays where it is, and nobody has calmed down about it.”
“Season 3 got voted into the floor on the rating sites.”
“A gap this long reads two ways: real time to fix the animation, or the same trouble with more runway.”
