Quiet shows won

MUSHI-SHI arrived with a patient supernatural mood that only gained stature as more viewers found it. ARIA The ANIMATION became a comfort-show fixture, while Paradise Kiss and Akagi gave the season two very different kinds of grown-up intensity.
