Hamtaro saves summer

Hamtaro carried a very light slate and soon became impossible to escape, especially for younger viewers outside Japan. Brigadoon drew less attention but developed a loyal cult around its unusual emotional weight, while Hand Maid May delivered exactly the compact turn-of-the-century rom-com chaos its title promised.
