Shaft owned the summer

Bakemonogatari's rapid dialogue, strange framing, and Shaft visual tricks made it the show people either obsessed over or bounced off immediately. Spice and Wolf II kept its loyal crowd happy, while Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 brought a grounded disaster drama that hit much harder than its modest profile suggested.
