Durarara!! made chat rooms, street rumors, and Ikebukuro's overlapping cast weekly discussion fuel. Katanagatari arrived in monthly double-length episodes and rewarded the unusual schedule, while Heartcatch Precure! gained attention well beyond its usual audience through expressive animation and unusually sharp character work.
