Kazuki, Tooi, and Enta meet Keppi, a mysterious kappa-like creature in Asakusa. He takes a mythical organ from each boy and transforms them into kappas. Returning to normal requires connection and the collection of similar organs from zombies. The assignment is invasive, supernatural, and presented with remarkably little concern for adolescent dignity.

Three middle school boys encounter Keppi in Asakusa. He transforms them into kappas and gives them a route back to human form. Connect with one another. Confront zombies. Collect the required mythical organs. Meanwhile, two policemen have unexplained business nearby. The marketed premise makes privacy impossible before trust has begun.
Gigguku
Sarazanmai opens with three boys, one kappa-like creature, and a transformation process that obliterates ordinary dignity! Keppi demands that they connect while sending them after zombies for stolen mythical organs. Even the local policemen are up to something unexplained. Asakusa becomes the stage for a supernatural assignment so specific and strange that normal school life never had a chance.
Father's Basement
The setup throws kappas, transformations, mythical anatomy, zombies, and suspicious policemen together before subtlety can enter the room. One rule keeps the absurdity legible. Kazuki, Tooi, and Enta must connect if they want their human forms back. That direct requirement gives the supernatural spectacle a clear dramatic problem without explaining how the boys will solve it.
