The Anime Lad
In the twenty-first century, animal-humans are no longer hidden from the world. Michiru reaches Anima City, a special district created as their refuge, while seeking answers about a sudden condition she does not understand. There she meets Shirou, a wolf-human with little affection for humans. The city promises belonging. Her questions have declined to wait politely.

Animal-humans have stepped out of history's shadows. Anima City offers them a place to live openly. Michiru arrives there carrying an unexplained condition and a demand for answers. Shirou, a wolf-human who hates humans, becomes her guide into the city's worries and joys. Refuge comes first. Trust will require additional work.
Gigguku
Michiru reaches Anima City furious and completely unwilling to accept a vague answer about her own life. That energy is the hook. The city was built so animal-humans could live openly, while Shirou meets her questions with a wall of suspicion. TRIGGER turns their collision into bright motion, but Michiru's need to understand what happened keeps it personal.
Father's Basement
A sanctuary city for animal-humans gives the social metaphor very little camouflage. The premise works better when it stays close to Michiru's immediate problem. She has arrived with a condition she cannot explain, and Shirou's hostility toward humans makes him an awkward source of help. Their disagreement gives Anima City's broad ideas a useful point of friction.
