Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World

Iska and Aliceliese are elite fighters on opposite sides of a century-long war, but their first battle creates doubt about the missions their nations gave them.

Synopsis
The Anime Lad

The Empire and a nation of astral mages have fought for a century. Iska is sent against Aliceliese, the feared Ice Calamity Witch. Both arrive prepared to defeat an enemy champion. Their encounter instead introduces doubt about the roles assigned to them. This is unhelpful to military scheduling and potentially worse for their hearts.

Super Eyepatch Fox

Iska fights for one side of a hundred-year war. Aliceliese stands for the other. Their first battlefield encounter places two elite enemies within striking distance. Neither finds the expected certainty. Any common ground could make them traitors, while attraction would turn political danger into a private one.

Gigguku

Iska and Aliceliese meet with a century of war telling them exactly what to do. Then the battle creates doubt. That is all the forbidden-romance pressure I need. They are dangerous enough to represent their nations and human enough to question the script those nations handed them. Every hesitation carries political weight!

Father's Basement

Two attractive champions from enemy nations are an efficient route to star-crossed romance. The series does not hide the machinery. Iska is sent to kill Aliceliese, and she is expected to answer in kind. Their encounter unsettles that certainty. Because common ground itself could be treason, even a small change in feeling has consequences beyond the pairing.

Embroiled in a hundred-year war, young Iska is sent to assassinate the Ice Calamity Witch, Aliceliese. Meant to murder each other, their initial encounter on the battleground creates doubt in their missions, but finding common ground together would make them traitors to their own countries.

What defines it
