A boy connected to the scene soon appears in her classroom as transfer student Rei Ogami. Rei follows a severe personal code. Sakura considers his methods unacceptable and begins opposing him with little concern for convenient silence.

Sakura encounters him at school and rejects the authority he claims for himself. Her stubborn resistance keeps the supernatural premise from becoming simple admiration for an untouchable antihero.
