Joshiraku

Five female rakugo performers turn trivial topics into escalating verbal comedy, placing absurd modern banter beside a traditional storytelling form.

Synopsis
The Anime Lad

Marii, Kigurumi, Tetora, Gankyou, and Kukuru practice rakugo, a traditional form of comic storytelling. They also have an exceptional capacity for silly conversation. A minor topic enters the group, loses contact with reason, and becomes a sustained argument among five friends.

Super Eyepatch Fox

Five young women keep rakugo alive through performance and an unlimited supply of conversation. Ordinary subjects rarely remain ordinary. Wordplay, absurd disagreement, and sudden tangents stretch each topic far beyond its practical value while the traditional art form stays close.

Gigguku

Joshiraku gives five rakugo performers an endless supply of trivial topics and lets conversation detonate! A small question becomes wordplay, satire, or pure nonsense before anyone can restore order. The contrast between traditional storytelling and fearless modern banter gives the comedy its spark!

Father's Basement

Some jokes depend heavily on Japanese language or context, and explanation cannot rescue every reference. The ensemble still works because five distinct personalities push conversation in different directions. Their banter turns misunderstanding into momentum while keeping rakugo's comic tradition in view.

Marii, Kigurumi, Tetora, Gankyou, and Kukuru deserve a round of applause for keeping the art of Rakugo alive! What’s their secret?
