The Hero reaches the Demon Queen's castle prepared to end a long war. She has prepared an argument. Both societies now depend on the conflict in ways that make a sudden victory dangerous. She asks him to help seek a slower peace instead. The final confrontation has become an economic briefing.

A lone Hero reaches the Demon Queen expecting combat. She explains how the war has reshaped both societies and why ending it at once could cause more suffering.
