Rain serves as a beast tamer in a hero's party until the group dismisses him as too weak. He does not abandon adventuring and begins taking simple quests alone. That path brings him into contact with a remarkably strong cat girl. His former coworkers may have completed an incomplete assessment.

A hero's party expels Rain because his beast-taming skill appears weak beside direct combat. He starts over by taking simple adventurer jobs alone. During one of those quests, he encounters a powerful cat girl. The meeting gives his rejected profession a new direction without requiring him to abandon his kindness.

Rain gets thrown out of the hero's party for seeming too weak, then chooses to keep adventuring anyway. That decision leads him to a powerful cat girl and a completely different possibility. Because Rain was a weak and simple beast tamer, he was expelled from the hero's group but that didn't stop his desire to be an adventurer. By taking simple quests afterwards he has a destined encounter with a strong cat girl.
