Rain serves as a beast tamer in a hero's party until the group dismisses him as too weak. He does not abandon adventuring and begins taking simple quests alone. That path brings him into contact with a remarkably strong cat girl. His former coworkers may have completed an incomplete assessment.

A hero's party expels Rain because his beast-taming skill appears weak beside direct combat. He starts over by taking simple adventurer jobs alone. During one of those quests, he encounters a powerful cat girl. The meeting gives his rejected profession a new direction without requiring him to abandon his kindness.
