In his grandfather's house, he discovers a hidden door leading to a dangerous fantasy world stocked with remarkable equipment. Progress made there follows him back to Earth. The universe has apparently introduced a rewards program, and subtlety was not among its benefits.

A hidden room in Yuuya's inherited home contains a door to another world. Beyond it, monsters and powerful items obey game-like rules. Anything he earns changes what he can do on Earth as well. The series runs both settings in parallel, turning fantasy training into an immediate rewrite of his difficult school life.

Yuuya's starting misery is piled on with the delicacy of a loaded truck, and every reward arrives conspicuously gift-wrapped. Still, the portal's two-way function is a useful structural choice. He does not abandon Earth for a replacement life. Instead, changes from one setting disturb the other, giving the familiar power fantasy a reason to keep both halves active.
