Frieren is an elf mage who helped a heroic party complete its great quest. For her, the decade they spent together passed quickly. Human lives do not follow the same calendar. As years move on, she begins paying closer attention to the people and memories she once treated as temporary. Her timing remains inconveniently elven.

The grand quest is already complete when elf mage Frieren returns to ordinary time. Decades pass differently for her than for her human companions. She sets out again with a growing awareness of all she overlooked, revisiting places where small memories now carry more weight than the original adventure suggested.
