Synopsis

Britannia has conquered Japan and renamed it Area 11, imposing colonial rule through advanced Knightmare Frame weapons. Lelouch lives there as a student while concealing his place in the imperial family. A chance encounter grants him Geass, the power to issue an irresistible command. He applies board-game confidence to the prospect of rebellion. His extracurricular schedule becomes crowded.

On August 10th of the year 2010 the Holy Empire of Britannia began a campaign of conquest, its sights set on Japan. Operations were completed in one month thanks to Britannia's deployment of new mobile humanoid armor vehicles dubbed Knightmare Frames.
