The Anime Lad
Mona Kawai is accustomed to effortless attention from everyone at school. New transfer student Medaka Kuroiwa refuses to give her a second look, which she interprets as a challenge to the natural order. She begins trying increasingly extreme ways to charm him. One social exception has become a research program.
Super Eyepatch Fox
Mona wins hearts without effort. Medaka, a new transfer student committed to celibacy, refuses to react to her. His indifference turns her confidence into a contest, and each new tactic becomes another attempt to restore the response she expects from everyone else.
Gigguku
Mona can win over anyone until Medaka arrives and gives her NOTHING! Her disbelief becomes an all-out campaign of flirting and increasingly extreme improvisation. The school’s queen bee is suddenly doing all the chasing because one transfer student refuses to follow the social rule she has always trusted.
Father's Basement
The ecchi premise invites repetitive attempts and increasingly blatant fan service. Mona’s position still gives those attempts a comic motive. She is not pursuing Medaka from established romance. She is trying to understand why the one transfer student she cannot charm refuses to validate the identity everyone else reinforces.
