Ranma1/2 (2024)

This 2024 adaptation pairs an unwanted arranged engagement with martial-arts slapstick, letting Ranma and Akane turn domestic disagreement into physical comedy.

Synopsis
The Anime Lad

Martial artist Ranma Saotome arrives at the Tendo dojo and learns that his father has arranged an engagement to Akane. Neither participant displays the requested enthusiasm. Both are capable of answering an argument physically, while their parents continue treating the match as settled. The household becomes an inefficient venue for romance and an excellent venue for property damage.

Super Eyepatch Fox

Ranma and Akane are promised to each other by their parents before either can object effectively. They share martial-arts training and very little patience for the arrangement. Family pressure places them under one roof, where arguments become matches and ordinary misunderstandings gather the momentum of action scenes.

Gigguku

Ranma arrives at the Tendo dojo with serious martial-arts confidence, only to discover that his father has volunteered him for an engagement. Akane can fight back and hates the arrangement just as much. Their parents keep pushing while every disagreement becomes physical comedy. The remake treats romantic friction like a match that nobody agreed to enter!

Father's Basement

An arranged engagement imposed by meddling fathers is old romantic-comedy machinery. Ranma1/2 keeps it moving by making Ranma and Akane equally capable of resisting each other. Their martial skill turns household conflict into slapstick, while the crowded family setting ensures that no disagreement remains private or manageable for long.
