Synopsis

The Anime Lad

Suzuki is cheerful, outgoing, and committed to fitting in. She has also fallen for Tani, a quiet classmate who appears unconcerned with other people's expectations. Asking him out would require Suzuki to stop managing the room for several consecutive seconds. Her internal committee has not approved this.

Super Eyepatch Fox

Suzuki works hard to fit in. Tani does not seem interested in trying. She likes him anyway, which turns an ordinary high school crush into a contest between attraction and anxiety. The title supplies the contrast. Suzuki still has to decide what to do with it.

Suzuki is all bright social energy until her crush on quiet, unbothered Tani sends every anxiety into overdrive! She wants to ask him out, but fitting in has become a habit she cannot simply switch off. That clash between the person she performs and the choice she wants is painfully recognizable.
