The Anime Lad
Raul trains to become a hero, but the demon lord is defeated before his qualifying exam. The profession becomes unnecessary at a particularly inconvenient time. Raul takes a job in a capital-city magic shop instead. Then Fino applies for part-time work and identifies herself as the former demon lord's daughter, making the applicant pool unusually relevant to his abandoned career.
Super Eyepatch Fox
Peace arrives before Raul can complete his hero exam, leaving his chosen profession without an enemy. He finds work at a magic shop in the capital. A new applicant named Fino arrives with an exceptional résumé: she is the daughter of the defeated demon lord. Their former destinies now meet across a retail counter.
Gigguku
Raul prepares for heroic combat and loses the entire career because someone else defeats the demon lord first. That is already painfully funny. Then the demon lord's daughter applies at his magic shop. Now two people shaped by opposite sides of a finished conflict have to deal with ordinary employment. Fantasy has been conquered by CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Father's Basement
The series wraps its workplace idea in conspicuous ecchi comedy, which can distract from the better premise. Raul's hero training becomes economically useless when peace arrives. Fino loses her expected role for the same reason and applies at his shop. Their meeting turns a grand fantasy conflict into a problem of jobs and adaptation.
