Hayato Izumi runs for student council president and loses to Ui Wakana after her unconventional campaign wins the audience. He becomes vice president instead. At the first council meeting, Ui invites herself to his house and announces that their parents arranged for them to marry when they were three. The election result was therefore not his only unexpected appointment.

The series constructs its romantic complication through an extremely convenient parental agreement. It makes no attempt to hide the contrivance. Ui first defeats Hayato in a sensational student election, then announces at his home that they are expected to marry. The short format presents the entire farce before subtlety can object.
