Synopsis

The Anime Lad

Atsushi Nakajima leaves his orphanage hungry and alone, then encounters members of the Armed Detective Agency while they search for a white tiger. The office accepts cases too strange for ordinary police and employs people with inhuman abilities. Atsushi has found possible help, although the help appears to require additional supervision.

Super Eyepatch Fox

Hungry and pursued by a white tiger, Atsushi crosses paths with the Armed Detective Agency. Its gifted members investigate supernatural crimes, and their current search draws him toward the case. The agency offers a newcomer view into a city where unusual abilities belong in both police reports and office disputes.

Every agency member seems capable of derailing a briefing through personality alone. I love an ensemble that makes rescue look only slightly more organized than the danger.

The comedy can interrupt scenes that already have enough urgency, and the agency's eccentricity is pushed hard. Atsushi gives the premise a useful center. He is hungry and being stalked by a white tiger when gifted detectives enter the problem. Their inhuman abilities make the case more specific than an ordinary collection of quirky investigators.

Stalked by a beastly white tiger, Atsushi Nakajima has no idea that the menace lives inside him, a power that catches the attention of the Armed Detective Agency. Using inhuman abilities to combat crime, this team takes Atsushi under the wing of their most eccentric member, Dazai.
