A prophecy that pairs two teenagers and orders future romance is blunt even by shonen standards. Thankfully, Rokuro and Benio do not accept instant chemistry as an instruction. He resists returning to exorcism, she has no patience for his retreat, and their abilities force mutual attention before trust exists. The long series format promises plenty of battles, though the abrasive partnership is the more useful opening hook.
