Minato is intelligent but freezes under pressure, a problem that has cost him two university entrance attempts. Then he encounters Musubi while she is under attack. She identifies him as an Ashikabi, someone able to partner with Sekirei and help them use their full power. His academic schedule becomes less urgent.
