Synopsis

The Anime Lad

Itsuki Minami, called Ikki, is a confident street fighter who discovers Air Trecks, motorized skates used by crews called Storm Riders. Ordinary roads become insufficient almost immediately. Racing and territorial competition spread upward across the city, where balance is helpful and a respectful concern for municipal property is apparently optional.

Super Eyepatch Fox

Ikki discovers Air Trecks after an encounter with a street crew. The motorized skates launch riders across rooftops and into an underground culture of races and territorial battles. His physical nerve translates quickly to wheels, but the city contains experienced teams with their own styles and ownership claims.

Gigguku

Air Gear looks at rollerblading and asks why riders should remain anywhere near the ground. Ikki straps on motorized skates and treats the whole city like a course. The appeal is pure motion. Rooftops and railings become possible lines once speed meets impossible confidence.

Father's Basement

The mid-2000s fan service is conspicuous, and the underground sport makes little effort to respect physics. Its central fantasy remains potent. Air Trecks turn city architecture into racing terrain, while crews give every route style and conflict. Ikki's arrogance fits a sport that rewards looking upward.

Minami Itsuki never thought about seriously riding Air Treck motorized roller blades, until he got his butt handed to him by a street gang of Storm Riders. That day, he discovered in a locked up room, a pair of AT's and a box of stickers belonging to the Sleeping Forest street gang.
