Synopsis

The Anime Lad

Madoka Kaname is an ordinary middle school student until a transfer student from her strange dream appears in class and warns her to stay as she is. Soon a small creature named Kyubey offers Madoka and her friend Sayaka one wish each in exchange for becoming magical girls who fight witches. This seems like an ideal moment to read every available term and condition.

Madoka dreams of a girl fighting above a ruined city. The next day, that girl arrives at school as transfer student Homura and warns Madoka not to change her life. Then Kyubey offers Madoka and Sayaka any wish in exchange for magical duty fighting witches. The first episode places a familiar magical-girl invitation beside a direct refusal, letting the contradiction create unease without explaining it away.

Gigguku

Madoka gets offered any wish if she agrees to become a magical girl, which should sound amazing. Then Homura, the transfer student from Madoka's dream, tells her to stay exactly as she is. That collision makes the first episode hum. Sayaka is curious, but the witch encounter brings in a stranger visual language. Every part of the offer feels worth watching closely.
